For centuries, wood has been used for flooring. There are several reasons for this, for example, its warmth that positively influences the feet, because the surface temperature of wood is approximately equal to the air temperature in the room.

Wood flooring is natural and comfortable. It contributes to environmental protection, because it’s a replenishing material. The life span of parquetry is between 40 and 100 years, which makes it irreplaceable.

There are several different layouts of parquetry, such as “the fish bone” and “the chess table”, which attribute to the greater diversity.

The reason for the longevity of wood is the possibility of refurbishing. The boards are made of solid wood, thickness varying from 14 to 21 mm, which, according to the dimensions, can be grated up to 10 times. Different types of wood have distinct structure.

Wood is a natural material, thus the color and structure are susceptible to change, and vary from rustic to standard, to extra wood. The longevity of parquetry is not affected if the wood has knots, but the knotless wood is more expensive.

Today, we have many different types of parquetry. Besides the classic, there are several types of exotic and premade parquetry.
